Leo's electronic sculpture number two

This is our second try at an electronic sculpture kit for Leo's birthday party. It only took 50 minutes which I think is doable even with a bunch of 9 year old boys. Maybe I'm kidding myself.

The amoeba tubes!

We went tubing with Leo's friend Lily and her family. All 7 of us joined up in a giant amoeba and slid down the track.

Leo video 2013

I'm not sure this post made it out to you:

Every year, I make a montage of Leo videos from the year for my dad's birthday. His birthday was in September so this is really really late. Happy Birthday, Dad!

Sorry that I can't embed the video in here but Youtube is causing me trouble. Go to this link to view the video:

Pix of the Youngs from Uncle Henry

Aunt Judy gave me these pictures to send to the Youngs. She said the middle one is Uncle Dave and his brother during a recess during a movie production. I didn't know Uncle Dave was in the movies!

I'll bring these out in April.

More from Eldora

We hit Eldora again this weekend. It was a zoo with the longest lifelines we'd ever seen, probably because of the 17" they got Friday plus Super Bowl Sunday. We did manage to get some nice turns in Moose Glades, however:

Here's the boys at the top of Placer Glades. They forced me down here when we should have been at lunch.

Bad idea because there were a lot of rocks and stumps and we ended up on a lifeline mogul run with a ski school and I managed to practically break my leg trying to avoid the ski school on the way down. Time to go take more ibuprofen...

Karaoke Lipsync practice

We had a great time at Chinese New Year dim sum. A lot of Leo's friends joined us. They open up a stage after the Lion Dance for the kids to do karaoke. Unfortunately, none of our kids could read the Chinese so here they are just pretending to sing along.

Survival in the trees

Leo and Connor skied the hardest terrain on Eldora. Here they are entering "Extreme Terrain"

Here they are in Brian's Glades which is very tight trees. They skied right against my direction (left is more open and you can escape if the trees are too tight) and we ended up in very difficult conditions. they took a break on the soft snow. Near the end they were convinced we were lost and we'd never get out and it would be some kind of Survival TV show.

They did Salto Glades twice and loved it! This stuff is very steep and mogul-y.

Leo making cookies at the neighbors'

Yes, we are dirt sick. But our awesome neighbors had us over for Christmas Eve cookie-making anyway! I feel better already!
